Van, W1WCG operates a Flexnet node on the packet network with call sign W1WCG-2. The station also supports an FBB packet bulletin board with call W1WCG-4. Both W1WCG-2 and W1WCG-4 can be connected to from any node in the network or direct on 145.05.

Winlink Classic is another mode of operation supported by this station. It uses Pactor on HF under the call W1WCG. About a dozen frequencies are scanned in search of stations that have NTS-formatted traffic for WCG. On receiving a call, the Winlink station acknowledges it and the two are “linked” and the traffic is forwarded. Traffic for CT is sent to W1WCG on pactor; W1WCG sends out of state traffic to his scheduled Winlink stations.This

Since the Winlink station is connected to the rest of the network, W1WCG routes CT traffic to the W1HAD BBS. This system has been functioning for many years and is extremely efficient.

   2. Connect to W1WCG-2

   3. Connect to W1WCG-4 or from the first node connected to, you can just connect to W1WCG-4 without going first to W1WCG-2.

2. Connect Direct:

   1. Get on 145.05

   2. . Connect to W1WCG-2

   3. Connect to W1WCG-4 or as a shortcut, connect to W1WCG-4 v W1WCG-2.¹

Connect to the Winlink Mailbox: (MBO)

1. Set up station for pactor operation.

2. Connect to W1WCG on any of the HF frequencies listed below.
